Sometimes you get one

Standard

I post a lot more photos of The Girl than The Boy. It’s not because of any bias or favoritism, but because it;s harder to get photos of The Boy. Unlike The Girl, who has a spidey sense about a camera in a 50-foot radius and starts posing, he’s either off running, or hiding from the camera (because god forbid his hair is messed up – and seriously? He’s killing me with the hair.)

So while it’s nothing for me to get this from The Girl:

With The Boy, I often have to chase him around, only to get this:

But every once in a while, I get lucky:

It’s worth all the chasing.

Forty-sdjhfkjsdhfkjsdh year old mom of 2 - a 18 year old boy and a 11 year old girl. I love them very much, but they drive me crazy. I'm married and work full-time. I'm not sure which of these is the most exhausting, but probably the husband. I'm opinionated. I'm outspoken. I'm loud. I'm an over-sharer. I think Tom Cruise is a jackass. I like to say jackass. I like to swear, period. Fuckers. I love to read. I struggle with my weight. I love my job. I dress my pets up and ridicule them regularly. I am not afraid to cut my hair and I don't understand people who are. I hate getting old. I love to laugh. Make me laugh, OK?

  1. 50-foot radius? I'm pretty sure she can smell a camera from MILES away. She's definitely not one to shy away from getting her picture taken.Oh, and DAMN your kids are cute.

  2. hee hee. I already feel this way with my boy, and he's just crawling. Lately my pictures of him have just been of a giant blurry head. The girls are usually more cooperative, although Kate sometimes has to jump around instead of stand and smile.Good beach pictures. Looks like a nice vacation!

  3. The picture of him laughing…third from the bottom…I love that one. I love pics when kids look natural and laughing is the absolute b.e.s.t.Well done, Mom.
